Currently, I am working towards my Bachelor of Science in Business Management at the University of Florida. My extensive experience in the medical office as a front desk receptionist has prepared me to effectively manage your front desk.
For the past five summers, I have worked full time at a busy primary care physician’s office in North Miami Beach that handles about 60 patients a day. In that time span, I have become proficient at all of the tasks associated with the position. I handled patient check-in and check-out which included collecting co-payments and scheduling follow-up appointments. Additionally, I managed eight phone lines while completing all of my other daily tasks. I have experience in insurance verification both by phone and internet for over a dozen insurance companies.
Because of my experience and managerial abilities, I was chosen to play an integral role in the establishment of a new office for the business in Miami-Dade County. My contributions included assisting with the ordering of office and medical supplies as well as training new employees for the front desk department. The intricate knowledge of all aspects of a medical office that I gained from this experience will be more than beneficial to your office.
As a business management major, I will be taking numerous classes, such as Principles of Management and Managerial Economics, focused on developing my leadership abilities. I work well with people and can contribute greatly within your office using my interpersonal and organizational skills. Most importantly, my passion for helping people will translate into exceptional patient satisfaction within your office.
